FYLI_NZES is supported by a dynamic consortium, composed of the Municipality of Fyli and TREK Development S.A. Each organisation brings unique expertise and experience in the fields of energy efficiency, sustainable development, and education. Together, the two project partners are collaborating closely to achieve the project’s goals of transforming school buildings into energy-efficient, sustainable spaces.
Municipality of Fyli
The Municipality of Fyli is a local authority located in the region of Attica and comprising the municipal units of Αno Liosia, Zefyri and Fyli. It covers a total area of 109km2 and has a population of approximately 48.000 (2021 census). The Municipality of Fyli stands at the forefront of FYLI_NZES, not only as Project Coordinator but also as proprietor of the real estate assets (public schools) that will constitute target of the planned sustainable energy investments. Its recent history is marked by successful green initiatives, such as the establishment of a 10 MW photovoltaic park, underpinning its adeptness in conceptualising, managing, and actualising projects of this magnitude and scope.
TREK Development S.A.
TREK Development S.A. has 30 years of experience in coordinating and implementing EU-funded projects, actively working on the field of Sustainable Energy, by providing technical assistance to Ministries, Local / Regional Authorities and Development Agencies in Greece and abroad. In addition, TREK Development has significant experience in introducing sustainable energy principles to public and private bodies, designing and planning large scale energy efficiency / renewable energy projects, identifying alternative funding options and developing financial models for assessing the relevant investments and delivering successful energy-efficiency related projects. Its rich portfolio of similar projects funded by the ELENA Facility (EIB) and LIFE CET PDA (EC-CINEA) guarantees the successful implementation of FYLI_NZES.
