The FYLI_NZES project attended the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2025 (EUSEW 2025), the EU’s premier event dedicated to clean energy and energy efficiency, held from 10–12 June in Brussels.

As the European Union’s flagship event on clean energy and energy efficiency, EUSEW 2025 convened a broad spectrum of stakeholders from across Europe, including policymakers, energy experts, project developers and civil society representatives, to discuss and advance the continent’s transition towards a competitive, clean and fair energy system.

The project was represented at EUSEW 2025 by the delegation of the Municipality of Fyli, comprising the Mayor, Mr. Christos Pappous, Vice-Mayors, Mrs. Chryssoula Kourassi and Mr. Athanassios Schizas, the Administrative Officer Zacharoula Sklavounou and special advisors to the Mayor, Mrs. Spyridoula Zachari and Mr. Ioannis Liakos, and by TREK Development through Mrs. Melina Lazaropoulou, Partner.

Throughout the event, the consortium actively promoted the FYLI_NZES project, exchanged insights with other LIFE CET and Horizon Europe projects, explored EU policies, funding tools, and technologies for local energy transition, and prepared the grounds for a successful participation in the EUSEW’s Energy Fair next year.

A key moment was the opportunity to reconnect with representatives of the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), including the Head of Sector, Mrs. Anette Jahn, as well as the Project Officer, Mrs. Paraskevi Vivian Dorizas, whose continued support and guidance are essential to the project’s successful implementation. This engagement fostered constructive dialogue and laid the groundwork for future synergies.

Overall, FYLI_NZES’ presence at EUSEW 2025 significantly enhanced the project’s visibility at the European level and reaffirmed its commitment to advancing sustainable energy action locally, in alignment with EU climate objectives.
